nib enhances support of advisers to help more Kiwis keep healthy

We'll be launching an enhanced adviser distribution model to help more New Zealanders get the benefit of private health insurance protection from 1 July 2019.

As part of the changes, a dedicated nib adviser support team has been introduced across the country, to work closely with advisers, adviser businesses and dealer groups to help ensure their clients have health cover that protects them and their families.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Rob Hennin, said significant enhancements had been made to the way we support advisers by developing new tools that make it easier to create nib health insurance solutions.

“From on the ground dedicated support teams to improved join processes and servicing capability, our focus is on putting advisers and their clients at the heart of everything we do to deliver a world-class experience,” Mr Hennin said.

“We’ve also improved the service experience for members by making it even easier to claim and providing integrated healthcare programmes through our local clinical specialist team,” he added.

Mr Hennin said the new model would also expand nib’s capability in the adviser distribution channel in line with its strategic ambitions to grow the private health insurance market, and in turn our share.

“We have invested in our relationships with advisers as we are committed to helping more Kiwis access and afford healthcare. Advisers play an integral role in achieving this by starting healthy conversations with their clients about the health protection they need,” Mr Hennin said.
